12th India Security Summit was recently conducted in New Delhi.
It was organized by the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry  (ASSOCHAM)  and supported by Union Ministry of Commerce and Information Technology  

Theme of this edition : " Towards New National Cyber Security Strategy" .

Issues Discussed in Summit:
  • Protection of Critical National Infrastructure 
  • Emerging Cyber Threats : Challenges and Response


Important Announcements in Summit:

1)  Union Home Ministry has  launched scheme  Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre  (I4C) to deal with cyber crime in the country in coordinated and effective manner.

2)   Govt has also launched  Cyber Swachhta Kendra  under Digital India initiative under Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) .

China - Pakistan are conducting Bilateral Aerial Exercise named Shaheen VIII (Eagle VIII) in chinese city of  Holton very near to Indian border near Ladakh.

It is the 8th edition of the exercise which both these countries are conducting.

   Indo-Pacific Chief Of Defence Conference

Indo-Pacific Chief of Defence Conference (CHOD) 2019 will be held in Thailand. Chief of Air Staff-Air chief Marshal Birender Singh Dhanoa will represent India in the conference.

Theme of conference :

Collaboration in a free and Open Indo-Pacific.

In the conference 33 countries will take part and their Chief of Defence will represent their country in the conference. It will provide perspective on common challenges faced by participating nations and  will discuss the same .

India -Thailand Defence Relations

 India and Thailand had taken bilateral ties to next height ,calling for cooperation in several areas including disaster management ,information exchange and sea migration . 
Also India's  Look/Act East policy had boost developments in relations of the 2 countries.

            PM Modi Becomes the 1st Indian PM to visit Bahrain

1.  PM Modi visited  Bahrain for the first time and he was conferred with the prestigious King Hamad Order of the Renaissance by the Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa .He has been awarded with this prestigious award for his efforts to strengthen bilateral relations with the Bahrain.


 2. PM Modi's Project to redevelop 200 year old Shreenath ji temple in the capital city of Bahrain. Project amounts to $4.2 million which highlight the heritage and 200-year-old legacy of the temple as well as the new iconic complex will be lighten up by the prayer halls.

3. About Shreenath ji  Temple :  It is a Shri Krishna Temple located in the capital City of  Bahrain which was built back in 1817 by Thathai Hindu community and is still managed by them.
