- United Nations passed a resolution which unites countries to fight and eradicate corona virus The resolution was adopted by the 188 countries and becomes the first resolution to be passed by UN after declaring COVID-19 as a pandemic.
- Silence Mode : Resolution was passed in silence mode i.e. there was no call for a meeting .Although the draft was on open mode and countries could object till 2nd April. No nation objected and resolution was passed.
- Resolution will intensify the international cooperation, exchange of information and applying relevant guidelines given by the WHO.
- UN has acknowledge Corona virus as the most challenging crisis since World War II.
- UN has also called for “Immediate Cease Fire” all over the world to protect the people in conflict zones.
